Biography

A former journalist, Hicham Ayouch worked for a few years in French television before shifting his career to writing and film directing. His first film, The King’s Queens (2005) explored the status of women in Morocco and Angel’s Dust (2006) was about autistic teenagers. He has since directed two feature-length fiction films, Edges of the Heart (2006) and Cracks (Fissures, 2008).
