Biography

Trisha Donnelly absorbs photography, drawing, audio, video, sculpture and performance into a practice that reflects on both the aesthetics of the act of creation and its results. She has exhibited prolifically in both solo and group contexts, most recently at the Carnegie Museum of Art, Pittsburgh (2011) and the Neue Gesellschaft für Bildende Kunst (NGBK), Berlin (ongoing-2012). Donnelly is a Clinical Associate Professor of Studio Art at New York University's Steinhardt School of Culture, Education and Human Development. She was recently awarded the 2010 LUMA Photography Prize.
