Biography

Melik Ohanian’s work can be understood as a set of physical and conceptual territories that focus on the concept of time. Drawing on extensive research, as well as scientific and philosophical methodologies, he has developed a body of work that uses a wide range of mediums, while focusing primarily on photography and film. He has exhibited extensively over the past decade in numerous international solo exhibitions, and he represented France in the 2004 Sao Paulo Biennial. Other biennial participations include Berlin and Sydney, 2004, Moscow and Lyon, 2005, Gwangju and Seville, 2006 and Venice, 2007. He lives and works in Paris and New York.
