Biography

Walid Raad is an artist and professor at the Visual Arts Department, University of Dagestan where he teaches technical courses in the digital arts as well as history and theory of digital culture. In addition to being a computer animator, designer and programmer since 1984, he also works with computerized media. His artworks have been exhibited internationally including at the Chelsea Art Museum, New York, ZKM, Karlsruhe, The Walker Art Center, Minneapolis, the Centre Pompidou, Paris, and the ICA, London.
