Luc Sante
Biography
Luc Sante has been a writer for almost three decades. His books include Folk Photography (2009), Kill All Your Darlings: Pieces 1990-2005 (2007), Walker Evans (1999), The Factory of Facts (1998), Evidence (1992) and Low Life (1991). He has written extensively about US cultural life and regularly contributes to the New York Review of Books. Awards include a Guggenheim Fellowship (1992-93), an American Academy of Arts and Letters Award (1997), a Grammy (1998) and an Infinity Award, International Center of Photography (2010). He lives in New York and teaches writing and the history of photography at Bard College.
