Sharjah Art Foundation offers a range of opportunities to students and those seeking work experience. We are currently offering opportunities to work on Sharjah Biennial 11.

Over the past two decades, the Sharjah Biennial has grown from being a local cultural event into an internationally recognised and respected platform for contemporary art.

As an intern or volunteer you’ll have the opportunity to meet and work with internationally acclaimed artists and gain hands-on experience in all aspects of producing the Biennial. You'll also have the chance to meet art professionals and visitors from all over the world.

Opportunities
We offer experience working in the following areas

  • Artist Assistant
  • Production and Technical
  • Communications and Marketing
  • Education and Outreach

The experience you gain will help support you in future artistic and professional pursuits. You will receive a certificate at the end of your service, testifying to your contribution and experience to the Biennial. In return, we will require your commitment, dynamism and interest during your collaboration with us.

Timing
Volunteers and interns are required primarily for the period between 3-17 March, for help with the installation of the Biennial and preparations for its launch. There will also be opportunities to assist artists and work with the team during February, which will be advertised as needed.
