Open Call for Submissions: Vantage Point Sharjah 6

Overview

Sharjah Art Foundation welcomes submissions for Vantage Point Sharjah 6 (VPS6) from individuals of all nationalities who reside in the UAE and other GCC countries. The sixth edition of this exhibition dedicated to photography will be organised around the theme of Performance.

VPS6 aims to expand on the interpretation of the term ‘performance’, making both performance and photography essential elements of the photographic work. In this context, the performance process can be embodied in a gesture, movement or action, or it can be documented through the traces of a past presence, action or time.

Selected photographs will be presented in an exhibition opening on 14 July 2018 at Sharjah Art Foundation’s Galleries 1 and 2 in Al Mureijah Square.

The application deadline is 5 June 2018 at 11:00 pm.

Please submit the application form and no more than six digital photographs in 300 dpi resolution. Make sure to provide a short description of your work(s) and the location where each photograph was taken.
