Overview
do it بالعربي [in Arabic] was activated at Riwaq in Ramallah (9–16 May 2017), punctuating a period of activations that began in March and April at the Nuwar Nissan Children’s Festival, and continued in other community centers and the Jaba’ and Asira Ashimaliyah villages in and around Ramallah until autumn 2017.
Presented in Riwaq’s garden and the newly opened Artس gallery, the project provided an opportunity for students, families, adults and children to activate instructions for works conceived by Etel Adnan, Hassan Sharif, Amir Nour, Ali Cherri, Hassan Khan, Dia Batal, Hassan Meer, Jorge Tacla, Kamala Ibrahim Ishaq, Fouad Elkoury and Safaa Erruas. The iteration also offered a platform for new instruction works to be created by local artists Dalia Taha, Bashar Zarour, Sami Zarour, Shada Safadi and Ala’ Al Baba as well as the general public.
