Overview

Sharjah Art Foundation will offer a series of new education workshops designed for different age groups. This Summer programme includes a range of workshops targeting children, adults and children and young adults with disabilities. The workshops and short courses will take place in different venues and centres across the Emirate of Sharjah.

The Children’s Education Programme presents introductory workshops that engage children in creating artworks in different mediums, such as painting, sculpture and calligraphy. Also offered are exhibition-related workshops that encourage interaction with SAF’s ongoing exhibitions. The Children’s education programme welcomes participants aged 6 to 15.

The Adult Education Programme is scheduled from 16 July to 24 September. The programme offers courses on different aspects of contemporary art. Short courses focusing on topics such as the basics of photography, screenwriting and colour theory will also be offered for those interested in focused art courses. This programme welcomes adults aged 15 and above.

SAF’s Education Programme for Children and Adults with Disabilities features workshops that are designed to engage participants with varied physical, learning and development abilities with different art-related workshops. Participants aged 5 to 18 are welcomed to join in a variety of workshops scheduled from 20 June to 16 August. All workshops are led by professional instructors and teaching artists.
