Overview

Sharjah Art Foundation’s galleries, venues, spaces and shops are temporarily closed for the safety of our community. All our events and programmes, including the annual March Meeting and the spring 2020 exhibitions, have been postponed until further notice.

Expected to bring curators, artists and art professionals from around the world to Sharjah, March Meeting 2020: Unravelling the Present, scheduled from 21 to 23 March, has been postponed indefinitely. Tarek Atoui: Cycles in 11, Zarina Bhimji: Black Pocket, Aida Muluneh: A Journey in Photography and Art in the Age of Anxiety—the spring exhibitions scheduled from 21 March to 21 June—have also been deferred to a later date as have our seasonal Learning Programmes, Film Programme and other events. Any updates about our programming and event calendar will be communicated on our website and social media channels as soon as they become available.

While we look forward to welcoming the community back to our venues, we invite audiences to discover a variety of digital programming from Sharjah Art Foundation. SAF Online allows audiences to find creative learning resources, stream award-winning films, access do-it-yourself (DIY) videos and listen to uniquely designed audio experiences, with much more to come. We are committed to bringing a wide range of cultural and contemporary programmes to our community, no matter where our audiences are.
To explore SAF Online, click on ‘Programmes’ in the website navigation menu at sharjahart.org. We also encourage you to take part in online conversations by leaving us a comment or message on any of our social media channels. We are always online.
