Overview
Abed Al Ju’beh was born and educated in the old city of Jerusalem. He undertook graduate studies in Rome, Italy, completing his Master’s in Film and Television Studies at the University of Westminster, London. Since 2007, he has served as the Director of the Khalil Sakakini Cultural Centre. He has worked for over 20 years in the arts across the disciplines of film, television, theatre and the visual arts and has extensive experience directing and producing studio-based and live programmes. Previously, he served as Senior Producer / Director Al Jazeera London bureau (2001- 2007), Artistic Director of Al Kasaba Theater, Ramallah (1999 - 2001), and Producer/ Director MBC, London (1994 -1999). He is also a part-time guest lecturer in film studies and media.
