Biography

Sally Mizrachi is Executive Director and General Coordinator of lugar a dudas, a contemporary art center in Cali, Colombia that focuses on the intersections and borders between visual arts, cultural practices and the search for inclusive and expansive dialogue. She co-founded lugar a dudas with artist Oscar Muñoz in 2003. Previously, she had her own design atelier.

Mizrachi has spoken at several international seminars, workshops and conferences, including Lodging and Rooms: The Artistic Residency and Its Observance, TEA Museum Space for Arts, Tenerife, Spain (2017); Workshops on Workshops II: Magnetic Fields, Fondazione Ratti, Lago di Como, Italy (2016); The Pedagogical Shift in Cali Contemporary Artistic Practices: A Dialogue with Spain, Arts and Education Program, ARCO Madrid (2015); Seminar Art and Education, Media Lab Prado, Madrid (2015); The Managing Artist and the Independent Power, Ateliê 397, São Paulo (2015); The Uses of Art, São Paulo Biennale (2014) and New Methods Symposium, Museum of Contemporary Art in Miami (2011).

She has taken part in the Artistic Pacific Zone Regional Committee in Colombia (2012) and served as advisor for the National Council for the Arts at the Colombian Ministry of Culture (2015–2017).

Mizrachi was born in Cali, Colombia, where she continues to live and work.
