Biography

The son of a monk, Fumito Urabe is interested in the interaction between Eastern philosophy and contemporary art. Urabe’s work has been exhibited at the Art Tower Mito, Japan (2012); Tokoname Studio Gallery, Nagoya University of Arts, Aichi, Japan (2010); Contemporary Art Museum Ise, Japan (2009); Bunka Forum, Kasugai, Japan (2009) and Kunstakademie Düsseldorf, Germany (2007). Urabe received his BFA, MFA and PhD from Aichi Prefectural University of Fine Arts and Music, Japan.
