The Music Department Senior Coordinator is responsible for translating the Manager's strategic vision into successfully executed projects. This role will oversee the implementation of large-scale initiatives, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standard.
• Develop (with the Manager) and manage detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets for key departmental initiatives (e.g., annual music conference, artist commissions, publications, concerts, radio).
• Serve as the primary liaison between artists, guest speakers, and internal SAF departments (Curatorial, Operations, Marketing and Communications) to ensure seamless collaboration.
• Track project progress, identify risks, and prepare clear and concise status reports for the Department Manager.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to the Music Programme Coordinator, delegating project-related tasks as appropriate.
• Deputize for the Manager in operational meetings, representing the department's interests.
• 3-5 years of experience in project management within the arts, cultural, or music sectors.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
• Exceptional organizational and communication skills.
• A proactive and independent problem-solver.
• Bilingual spoken/written skills in Arabic and English desirable.
• Working background in Arts Management, Music, Curatorial Studies, Sound Studies, or a related field is highly desired.
The role is a full-time position based in Sharjah, with working hours from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday to Thursday, and occasional evening or weekend work as needed.
