Explore how curatorial thinking unfolds, starting from an initial idea and evolving into a coherent, site-responsive exhibition. Through a series of guided exercises, learn how to map out a topic, trace thematic threads, draw connections between artworks, and shape clear, compelling curatorial concepts that respond to audience and context. Discover how to translate these ideas into engaging exhibition designs by working with the architecture of the space as well as elements such as light, sound and texture.
Ideal for aspiring curators and emerging artists, this workshop offers a practical and reflective entry point into contemporary curatorial practices, one that centres clarity, curiosity, care and experimentation. This session is free, and all materials are provided.
Sharjah Art Foundation is committed to making its programmes inclusive and accessible. You will find disability access symbols for this session on the registration form. Kindly contact us in advance to arrange for any support needed.
