Sharjah Art Foundation’s Studio Programme invites artists and creative practitioners at all stages of their careers to apply for short- and long-term studio spaces in the Collections Building and Bait Obaid Al Shamsi, both located in Arts Square, Sharjah. Designed for artistic research, experimentation and production, these two sites are conveniently located within walking distance of Sharjah Art Institute, Sharjah Art Museum and Al Mureijah Square.
Artists’ studios in the Collection Building are located on the first floor and accessible by stairs. In addition to the studios, artists will have access to a shared pantry and communal space.
Bait Obaid Al Shamsi was the creek-side home of a pearl merchant in the mid-nineteenth century. The restored heritage complex is comprised of ground-floor studio spaces, residential apartments and an airy central courtyard. Since 2009, the venue has hosted workshops, residencies and year-round cultural events. The studio spaces are available for a three-month lease period October-December 2026.
