Mckie Alvarez is a musician, songwriter, dub-reggae producer, sound designer and DJ. Also known as Madd Star Sounds, Alvarez is the other half of the dream pop/ethereal wave duo WYWY and frontman of the post-punk band LORD FUZZ GZAZ. Active in the UAE underground and experimental music scene since 2009, Alvarez has performed in the Middle East, Asia and Euro-Asia. He is also the founder of Bedspace Sessions, a platform where beatmakers and undiscovered producers can perform their original material. Born in 1983 in Quezon City, the Philippines, he currently lives in Sharjah and works in Dubai. SAF participation: Re|sound V (2020)
