Sharjah Art Foundation hosts Focal Point pop-up event ahead of its December 2025 edition

Sharjah Art Foundation announces a special one-day version of Focal Point, its annual art book fair. Taking place on 30 August 2025, the pop-up offers visitors the rare opportunity to explore and purchase art publications and printed matter from the Foundation’s archive at discounted prices.

Running from 10:00 am to 10:00 pm in Gallery 2, Al Mureijah Square, the event sets the stage for the more extensive edition of Focal Point, which will return from 12 to 14 December 2025. The full-scale programme will feature regional and international publishers, talks, book launches and more.

Launched in 2018, Focal Point showcases independent bookmaking from around the world. A critical space for knowledge-sharing and community building, the fair features a compelling selection of printed material by cultural producers who expand and experiment with the medium of publishing. It also includes workshops for print and design enthusiasts.

The upcoming pop-up coincides with the opening of Restless Circles, a solo exhibition of works by the Abu Dhabi-based artist Afra Al Dhaheri, as well as the first day of a week-long encounter with sound led by producer, archivist and DJ Malik Abdul-Rahmaan.
