Al Dhaid Art Centre comes alive through its studios, people and connection to the surrounding landscape.
Meet artists and staff, discover the pottery facilities, and wander in the garden. You can also take part in short activities that bring together observation, making and the local environment.
Open Studio: Pottery
Visit the pottery studio, and gain an understanding of the materials, tools and processes behind ceramic making through demonstrations and informal making.
Garden Observation and Drawing
Look closely at plants, soil and seasonal growth around the centre, and record what you notice through simple observational drawing.
Painting from Observation
Observe the colours, forms and everyday details in the outdoor area surrounding Al Dhaid Art Centre, and respond through a short painting exercise.
