Composition with Green Module (1950) is a meticulously composed dreamscape, a puzzle of overlaid forms and fragments that appear ethereal and floating, suggestive of an act of transcendence. Palimpsest-like forms glide to the surface, scratching the edges of our gaze like the ascending globules of a lava lamp; they offer surprise, relief, perhaps a love affair. Saloua Raouda Choucair’s interlocking forms in painting and sculpture suggest infinite possible architectures of existence.
