Al Majarrah Park Reopening

Join us on Thursday, 21 May 2026 from 7:30 pm to 10:00 pm for the reopening of Al Majarrah Park.

 

Explore the newly reimagined public spaces, including seven large-scale sculptures inspired by memories of local residents. Take part in a series of creative activities for all ages.

 

From 21 to 24 May, you can also enjoy discounted walk-in tickets to the adjacent immersive installation Rain Room Sharjah.

Stroll and Sketch
All Ages

Pick up a sketchbook, and meander through Al Majarrah Park. Pause to observe details of plants, pathways and sculptures. Translate what catches your eye into quick studies, or take the time to create more detailed drawings.

Uncover Al Majarrah Park: Scavenger Hunt
Ages 15+

Follow a series of clues that will take you deep into the architecture, materials and sculptural elements of Al Majarrah Park. Locate structures, signage and traces of everyday life across the park and surrounding urban neighbourhood. Awaken your curiosity as you explore the area.

Art Adventure: Early Learning Station 
Ages 3–5 (accompanied by an adult)

Find something new to do with your preschooler. In this cosy corner for our youngest visitors, pick an activity card, and dive into simple activities inspired by shapes, colours and textures.

 


9:15 pm–10:00 pm

Music Performance: Inam and Friends

Experience an evening of traditional Pashtun music with Inam and Friends, a live trio led by rabab player Muhammad Inam. Including Bakht Wali on tabla and Saeed Ullah on harmonium, the ensemble brings together melodic depth, rhythmic energy and rich storytelling traditions in this immersive live performance.
