About the instructor
Darrel Perkins is a printmaker, illustrator and educator from Rhode Island, USA, and an Associate Professor of Studio Art and Visual Communication at the American University in Dubai. His intricate linocut relief prints feature bold, high-contrast compositions—often in black and white—depicting the human form within narrative scenes inspired by nautical, literary and philosophical themes. He also works across drawing, painting, screenprinting and intaglio, maintaining a distinctly tactile, hand-crafted approach.
