‘Do You Know This Song?’ (2023) By Mallika Taneja

In Do You Know This Song?, Mallika Taneja presents a long-forgotten voice and its story, put together over a year through interviews in which she finds dreams made and broken, and a voice aching to reach out: revisited, reimagined, restrung. Surrounded by toys and objects from her childhood, the singer/performer uses a harmonium and a microphone to look for the person she lost—a singer and her songs. As she moves between this tale of searching, singing and grief, Taneja invites the audience to travel with her through song.
