Combine the contemplation of nature with hands-on creative activities. Reconsider the concept of art through the interplay of the temporary and the enduring, the simple and the complex, the visible and the unseen.
Surrounded by the spirit of nature, use biodegradable materials from your environment, such as sand, stones, branches and dried leaves, to construct compositions that engage directly with the characteristics of place.
Document each of your ephemeral works through photography, reflecting on impermanence as an integral part of meaning. Consider the expressive power of natural materials, and allow each piece to evolve and dissolve in ways that acknowledge the relationship between art and environment.
This sessions is free, and all materials are provided by Sharjah Art Foundation.
Sharjah Art Foundation is committed to making its programmes inclusive and accessible. You can arrange for any support needed through the registration form.
