With Yara Ayoob

Ages 16+

In English and Arabic

Uncover Khaleeji symbolism, aesthetics and visual codes in this session deriving from Ahaad Alamoudi’s exhibition Sunkissed. Create a series of playful, stylised photographic portraits, considering the impact of composition, lighting and the choice of backdrop on your work. Experiment with kitsch, performativity and self-presentation as tools for storytelling while reflecting on your personal interpretations of Khaleeji identity, aspiration and visual culture.

No prior photography experience is required. This session is free, and all materials will be provided by Sharjah Art Foundation.

The Foundation is committed to making its programmes inclusive and accessible. You will find disability access symbols for this session on the registration form. Kindly contact us in advance to arrange for any support needed.
