Workshop for Youth and Adults

Khaleeji Print Lab: Sunkissed Posters

With Mouza Al Hamrani

Ages 16+

In English and Arabic

How can you use Khaleeji symbols creatively in print? Inspired by the themes and imagery of Ahaad Alamoudi’s solo exhibition Sunkissed, delve into poster-making as a form of visual storytelling. Explore key cultural symbols and visual language from across the GCC. Then develop designs and turn them into vibrant, multi-layered posters using Risograph printing. Experiment with misalignment, overprinting and unexpected colour combinations. You will leave the workshop with your printed posters and a deeper understanding of how contemporary Gulf identities can be expressed through printmaking.

No prior knowledge of printmaking is required. This session is free, and all materials are provided by Sharjah Art Foundation.

The Foundation is committed to making its programmes inclusive and accessible. You will find disability access symbols for this session on the registration form. Kindly contact us in advance to arrange for any support needed.
