Listening to Images: Collective Readings on the Politics of the Image

With Abdul Halik Azeez
Ages 17+
In English

What role do images play in the construction of meaning, memory and power? How do visual forms shape collective perception and social narratives? Draw on key thinkers, including Stuart Hall, Tina M. Campt and Gunther Kress & Theo van Leeuwen, to answer these and other questions. Develop new vocabularies for seeing and hearing the image through group readings, discussions and collaborative analysis.

This session is free, and all materials are provided.
