Why might a photograph not turn out as expected?
For this meetup, we invite photographers to bring an image, experiment or project that did not quite work. Maybe the image failed to capture what was intended, or the process introduced something unforeseen.
Using Vantage Point 13 as a starting point, we will examine the space between intention and outcome, control and chance, documentation and interpretation. Rather than treating unanticipated results as mistakes to be corrected, we will consider what they can reveal about how photographs are made and understood.
The session will be informal and conversational, with photographers discussing their experiences and sharing images that did not quite turn out as planned.
Designed for photographers, artists and creatives at all levels, this session is free and all materials are provided.
