In our August book club meetup, we’ll explore how our perspectives shape the way we interpret photographs. Through books such as On Photography by Susan Sontag, Listening to Images by Tina M. Campt and Photography’s Orientalism by Ali Behdad and Luke Gartlan, we’ll discuss how images are created, viewed and understood.
You are welcome to bring along other texts that discuss the theoretical aspects of photography to make them part of the conversation.
