How do determination and imagination help us pursue our goals?
Join us for a screening and discussion of Wadjda (2012), set in Riyadh during the late 2000s. A young Saudi girl works towards achieving a personal, but largely discouraged, ambition: to own and ride a bicycle.
Following the screening, discuss how individuals can navigate expectations and challenges within their communities. Reflect on the importance of aspiration, resilience, identity and self-expression.
This session is free, and materials are provided.
