Ever thought of sculpting with latex? Through a series of guided activities, gain an understanding of foundational construction techniques for sheet latex, such as pattern-making, bonding and the construction of straight and curved seams. Explore methods of pleating and shaping, keeping in mind how flexibility and tension can be used to define form. After practising a few techniques, create small-scale sculptural pieces. Discover the responsiveness of latex as you shift between surface and structure.

Sharjah Art Foundation is committed to making its programmes inclusive and accessible. You can arrange for any support needed through the registration form.
