Celebrate the spirit of our neighbourhood with an evening of art and community. Wander through heritage spaces filled with activities, stories inspired by old Sharjah, and creative encounters for every age.
Early Learning Station
Ages 3–5 (accompanied by an adult)
In this cosy corner for our youngest visitors, pick an activity card and explore simple prompts inspired by shapes, colours and textures.
3D Me! Cardboard Portraits
Ages 3–5 (accompanied by an adult)
Create a 3D portrait of a family member! Once your children decide on a model, help them draw and cut basic forms for eyes, nose and mouth, which can then be positioned and glued to build a simple 3D portrait.
Miniature Photo Dioramas
Ages 6–10
Commemorate your Shamsi night with a 3D scene. Build a small diorama inspired by the sights and sounds of Bait Obaid Al Shamsi. Design a setting inside a cardboard box, and become a part of it by adding a black-and-white photo of yourself.
Collage Architecture
Ages 11–15
Tell your own architectural story through collages based on Bait Obaid Al Shamsi. Use images of the heritage space as a backdrop, and imagine bold renovations by replacing and reworking elements to connect past and future. You can transform the site into a new space with a different purpose.
Make a Zine with Riso Prints
Ages 16+
Step into the role of a mini publisher in this workshop. Learn the fundamentals of Risograph printing, a process that blends digital efficiency with the unique texture and charm of handmade prints. Use these skills to design, print and assemble your own zine.
Sketch Corner
All ages
Gather around, grab your pencil and start sketching the lively courtyard scene under the night sky.
Everyone is welcome, no registration needed. Workshops are free to attend, and all materials will be available on site.
