Delve into the world of Leda Catunda’s playful materiality and pop culture references, and create your own layered, textured Gelli prints. Begin with a short walkthrough of Catunda’s exhibition to gather inspiration from the artist’s visual vocabulary. Then move to the studio for an introduction to collagraphs and Gelli-plate printing. Learn how to build layered images through additive and subtractive techniques, stencil cut-outs and found textures. Translate inspirational prompts from Catunda’s artworks and daily life into a collagraph print as you experiment with materials, layers, colours and textures.

No prior experience required. All materials, provided by Sharjah Art Foundation, are water washable, but they may stain clothing.
