SAF Urban Garden

SB12 Open Day
2015
Bait Hamdan Bin Mousa

Overview

Join us on Saturday, 1 March 2014 from 12—4 pm to inaugurate the Urban Garden at a Saturday market in the SAF Art Spaces. The market will include locally grown produce, plants from local nurseries, as well as arts and crafts. Arabesque and sculpture workshops will be running as part of our children’s education programme in the garden and market spaces, as well as other activities for children.

Sharjah Art Foundation’s education programme offers children the opportunity to discover their artistic creativity while learning about art and culture. Taught by artists, the programme is designed for children 5—15 years of age.

SAF Urban Garden is a community outreach initiative that aims to encourage an ongoing collaboration between artists, architects, landscape architects and garden enthusiasts. Intended as a collective space, the garden aims to provide a social, learning and creative site for local communities.

All SAF events are free and open to the public.
