Overview

This exhibition booklet contains a summary of the exhibition Watch & Chill 2.0: Streaming Senses, along with images and descriptions of the works in the exhibition.

Watch and Chill 2.0 was organised by The National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art (MMCA), Korea in partnership with Sharjah Art Foundation and ArkDes. The project allowed audiences worldwide to freely access a selection of moving-image artworks from the collection of these three major international institutions, while offering local audiences the opportunity to view a range of rarely seen media-based artworks on site. The second edition, Streaming Senses included 22 artworks, with six selected by the Foundation, which respond to the relationship between technology and human perception, venturing beyond the screen to evoke various forms of synesthesia.

Artists included in the second edition of Watch and Chill are ASMRctica, Kim Ayoung, BARE, Ali Cherri, Lee Eunhee, Ahamd Ghoussein, Yeom Ji Hye, Sylbee Kim, An Jungju & Jun Sojung, Yuri Pattison, Basma al-Sharif, Wang & Söderström, Jenna Sutela, Maha Maamoun, Simone C Niquille, Sharif Waked, Andreas Wannerstedt and Kim Woonghyun.
