Kaveh Ghaffari’s musical training began at an early age and was influenced heavily by the folk traditions of north-western Iran. He attended art school in Tabriz before continuing periods of independent study in Istanbul and Baku. Returning to Iran, he settled in Tehran, where he performs in both live and studio contexts and is a member of the Kamakan Music Band. While he primarily plays the accordion,Ghaffari is also an accomplished pianist, drawing on the traditions of jazz maqam. He has performed across Iran and internationally, including at Babylon Arts Festival, Iraq; World Expo, UAE; and İpek Yolu Festival, Azerbaijan. His practice combines regional musical heritage with contemporary performance contexts.
