A cultural producer and artist, Tamzyn Botha engages with play, improvisation and DIY methodologies. Her interdisciplinary practice traverses visual art, curation, film production design and community-based work. Botha has worked as a festival and exhibition curator, including for Brixton Light Festival (2021–2023) and Hey Hillbrow! (2023–present). Her curatorial projects include Behind That Window, Johannesburg (2020); Waste Not Want Not, Johannesburg (2022); Playce, Johannesburg (2022); and See Saw, Cape Town (2025). Botha has also worked as a production designer on film projects, including The Last Ranger (2021) and Whoreduh VR (2022). Her awards and fellowships include Sustainable Together (Goethe-Institut and British Council, 2021 and 2023), Prince Claus CAREC Fellowship (2023) and Design Future Lab (2022).
