Zumrad Mirzalieva is a visual artist, cultural programmer and researcher who lives and works between New York and Tashkent. Encompassing photography and moving image, her research addresses questions of agency, solidarity, ecology and extraction. She is Programme and Development Director at DAVRA Research Collective, a Central Asia-focused research and programming platform founded in 2021. Mirzalieva has participated in residency and fellowship programmes at Fabrica Research Centre, Delfina Foundation and Magnum Foundation. She holds an MSc in Social Innovation from the London School of Economics and Political Science, where her research focused on the role of art in social change.
